Merrick McCoy Takes Selfie With Baby Daughter On Facebook Before Shooting Her, Self

In a shocking story, Merrick McKoy, a man from Westminster, Colorado, posted a selfie of himself with his baby daughter on Facebook before shooting her then himself in an attempted murder-suicide, reports say.

McKoy reportedly had an altercation at the apartment of Kimphone “Kim” Phanthavongsa, the girl’s mother who phoned police of an incident after she left her home following the altercation.

Phanthavongsa says her ex-boyfriend Merrick McKoy, was standing over her with a gun, after she woke up.

When police arrived they heard gunshots and eventually found Merrick McKoy and his daughter with gunshot wounds.

The two were taken to the hospital, but unfortunately 19-month-old Mia McKoy-Phanthavongsa, the daughter, died from a gunshot wound to the head while McKoy, who had a restraining order against him for a domestic violence incident with Kim Phanthavongsa where he was charged with assault, burglary, trespassing and telephone harassment, had an unknown status.

Before the attempted murder-suicide incident, McKoy posted a message on Facebook “Don’t blame me, I had no choice – I told u I can’t live without u lol u thought I was joking now me and Mia out this B****”.
