Hip hop music artist Drake’s third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, has reached platinum status after selling over a million copies. The rapper’s platinum status comes after pulling in 30K more in album sales this week for Nothing Was the Same, which features hip hop single “Started from the Bottom” and new songs “The Language” and “Too Much”.
This new milestone made “Nothing Was The Same,” which dropped on September 24th, Drake’s fastest selling project. Nothing Was The Same follows behind his other two projects “Take Care” and “Thank Me Later,” which also reached platinum status with album sales over one million.
“Nothing Was The Same” has managed to stay #1 on the Billboard’s top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums for the fifth week and has been clinging within the top-five spots of the Billboard 200.
The Cash Money/Young Money/OVO mastermind is currently on his new music tour entitled “Would You Like a Tour?” with opening acts Future and singer Miguel.
