Memphis Reality TV Show “Boots N Beats” Aims To Bring Old Skool Back In Competition

“Yall kind of boring right now, I’m about to go to sleep,” says CEO and organizer Wanda Amos to a group of Mitchell dancers in a promo pitch for Memphis reality TV show competition “Boots N Beats,” which is all about talented Old Skool drummers and majorettes.

Northside High, Hamilton High, Mitchell High, Fairley High, Manassas High, and other schools are going up against each other to win the “Boots N Beats” Old Skool competition.

In the promo, while patiently waiting locked out at a Fairley High majorette practice, Wanda was bothered by a young man who said he was the choreographer for the Old Skool majorettes. Wanda takes it upon herself to question the 17 year-old young man as they stood outside the building waiting.

“Do you really know the meaning of old’ skool?,” asked Wanda.

“Yes’ mam. I’m a professional dancer mam, this is not a hobby this is a profession for me,” he replied back.

Wanda Amos came back to him and says, “So tell me what you know about old skool?”

“Um, um. I know a lot about old skool. I’ve been majoretting since I was in the 6th grade. I know old skool majoretting and new skool majoretting, drumming, drum majorette… ballet… I know everything,” he adds.

The 30-minute reality show is currently being reviewed by several networks, according to Larry Clark whom the show is produced by, along with Wanda Amos, for Cashmere Entertainment.

Just see for yourself and expect some funny scenes.
