Is the fashion world putting a stop to skinny models?

Recently, the fashion federations of France, Italy, the United States and Britain have now decided to address the controversy over ultra-skinny models.

When you think of models you usually think of the frail thin models walking down the catwalk. Well recently, the fashion federations of France, Italy, the United States and Britain have now decided to address the controversy over ultra-skinny models after some countries banned many of the overly thin models from the catwalk.

The fashion executives are looking to address eating disorders and make guidelines such as Madrid who has a minimum body mass rule. The French Federation stated that they are not looking to ban ultra-thin models, because they already have strict rules on their health already set in place.

Italy’s government and its fashion chiefs have signed a pact aimed at keeping models who appear sickly thin off the catwalk by requiring them to prove they are in good health according to Washington Post.

Brazil is also stated to have launched a campaign to ban underage, underweight models from its catwalks in response to the death of a Brazilian model from complications due to anorexia.
