Raleigh-Frayser Block Party for Peace

MEMPHIS, TN – Inorder to encourage and promote peace in the community Antonio `2 Shay` Parkinson, CEO of Shaydawg Productions/Memphis Sound Records and board exec. on the Memphis and Shelby County Music Commission, has put together the Raleigh-Frayser Block Party for Peace. The basis of this block party is to encourage voting, enlight people on The Healthy Start Program, give individuals the opportunity to meet several candidates who are running for office and meet people throughout Raleigh-Frayser area. Everyone is encouraged to come and enjoy themselves as well as check out music performances with music being powered by The Hitsmen DJ’s. There will be various employment agencies attending the event as well as key music industry professionals. An assortment of food, drinks and activities for the kids will also be provided.

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 27, 2006 (Memorial Day weekend) 12-5:00 PM at the following destination: 4310 New Allen @ Ridgemont in the Raleigh/Frayser area in Memphis, TN.

A portion of proceeds raised will benefit the Raleigh Community Council and F.F.U.N. organization headed by Steve Moore.
