Kavious also expressed in his interview about where his motivation comes from and the courage to represent his city to the fullest which he states best in quote, “Nuclear wanted to move the company to ATL, but I wanted to keep it Memphis.” Check out the exclusive interview here.

“The company asked me who I wanted to feature on the single (Kodak Moment) and of course a ni**a wanted to get Memphis Pioneers 8 Ball & MJG who were suppose to be on the track, but a ni**a paper wasn’t tight enough for them so we gave the North Memphis Don Yo Gotti a call and he was game for it”. “He did the chorus and his verse and the rest is history.” “The song ‘Kodak Moment’ speaks for itself you know”? When you somewhere having fun like a party or a family reunion, you want to remember it by bringing out your camera and snapping a shot making it a Kodak Moment. The company that supposed to be doing the video for Kodak Moment is on some wishy washy s**t so it’s still pending right now. Last year Defjam Universal was talking but never anything back from them. I am still debating on a title for my new album but the release date will be in October.

As far as my production goes, I got the Drummer Squad putting it down for me. Shouts out to Ensayne Wayne and Drummer Boy. I got King of Funktown Playa Fly, Nakia Shyne, Yo Gotti, and possibly a collabo with Project Pat. Man I was surprised when Three Six called and said they want to work with me. Big Guy, you only have so much time to shine in this game and so much time to live on this earth so I’m gone do as many collaborations with Artists and Producers as I can cause I’m one of the artists in this city trying to make it happen. It’s artists in Atlanta that don’t like each other but will put all bulls**t aside and get money despite of the beef they got with one another. When I did the Empty Shelves album, Nuclear wanted to move the company to ATL, but I wanted to keep it Memphis man. I had a ATL connect but it’s easy trying to move to try and come up in another city unless you got paper already. When I hooked up with Killa Mike it was like at the time I was like let me see who could I do song with and have burn up the radio. So I thought, Killa Mike is a Grammy Nominee so why not. When we were in the studio he asked me, “Where you from dog?” I told him Memphis and he damn near couldn’t believe it. LMAO! Them ATL ni**as give you a chance money or no money and I am the only artist on the label right now. I been writing since I was 11 years old. Nuclear tried to get with me for 3 years straight. They really wanted me to be heard out there so I told them I’ll give you 3 years if you sign me as a free agent for 1 year and it was gravy. They did more for than any company my 1st year as a free agent so why not stay with them.. They giving me the opportunity to call the sots on the next album which will be a compilation album featuring X-Camp, Stress Free, Gain Green, and many more.

The biggest struggle in this game is dealing with cocky people. My pressure comes from shows that are not organized like Crunk fest folks not on top they s**t. Somebody got hold to a backstage pass and made copies and gave it to about 30 to 40 people who had no business being backstage. And of course when you got that many people backstage, expect for some s**t to go down. Some ni**a got knocked the f**ked out and was out for about 2 minutes. I was like DAMN! security ain’t on they f**king job and how the f**k was someone able to copy the pass for backstage. I am an organized ni**a so show promoters and party promoters need to be the same way man. I am a peoples person f**k VIP thats when arrogance comes in. I am a down to earth ni**a, you can catch me in the crowd with the fans.

Some of my influences growing up were the Geto Boys, LL Cool J, Run DMC, and Ron C. I want to do some cuts with Busta Rhymes, Sean Paul, Jay Z even though he is retired, Scarface, Ice Cube, Dre, Eminem. My Mother, Grandmother and family are my motivation for keeping me on my feet as far as my music goes. Be expecting some even harder and Crunker music from my new album you never know what type of surprise I’ll have for you on this one.
